In this video, we take a look at the Game Boy Printer—known as the Pocket Printer in Japan. This is a Japanese release version, and I’ve got everything from the original box, including some unused spools of paper and a link cable.

We’ll explore what’s inside, check out the thermal paper I picked up (perfectly pre-cut for the printer), and demonstrate how it works with a test page and the Game Boy Camera. Watch as I print my channel mascot and show off the nostalgic charm of this retro gadget!

If you’re into cool gadgets and product unboxings, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell for more videos. Thanks for watching, and I’ll see you in the next one!

Hey all, today we’re looking at this. This is the Game Boy Printer, or as it’s known in Japan, the Pocket Printer. This is a Japanese release version of the Game Boy Printer, and I also have a Link cable, so let’s take a look at everything that’s inside the box.

Here’s everything that was inside the box — well, plus some extra stuff. I also have my Link cable, and it came with some unused spools of paper which I’m going to leave in their original boxes. This was inside the box and I’m not sure if it shipped with my Pocket Printer originally — I haven’t opened it, but it seems to be the manual for the Pocket Camera, so we’ll just leave that here.

I have the printer, which takes a lot of batteries. This thing eats batteries — six AAs powering it. Then we have our spool of paper, which is just thermal paper I picked up on eBay from a seller who has it pre-cut perfectly for the Game Boy Printer.

Let’s power on the printer. I believe if we hold down the feed button and power it on, it’ll print a test page. There’s our little test page — it says “hello”. Now I guess we’ll test it out with the camera. I’ve got my little channel mascot guy, and we’ll print him out. We just go up and hit print, press okay, and it sends it to the printer. [Music]

Just like that, we have a little thermal print of what was on the Game Boy screen. Tear it free and there’s that little cutie. You can stick it on the fridge or whatever.

That about wraps it up. I hope you found this demonstration of the Game Boy Pocket Printer (or Game Boy Printer) interesting. If you liked my video, don’t forget to like and subscribe — I do all kinds of videos on gadgets and mostly product unboxings. I’ll see you in the next one. Bye.
