Who runs this site
#

Lazy Product Reviews is a personal blog operated by William Termini in Australia. The companion YouTube channel is @LazyProductReviews. You can reach me at info@lazyproductreviews.com .

What I collect
#

I do not ask for your name, email, or any personal information to read this site. Three things happen automatically when you visit:

  1. Google Analytics 4 records anonymous traffic data — which pages were viewed, rough location (country/region, not street address), device type, referring site.
  2. Google AdSense serves ads. If you consent, ads may be personalised using cookies; if you don’t, you get non-personalised ads.
  3. Server logs (at my hosting provider) record basic request data — IP address, timestamp, user agent — for security and debugging. These are rotated on a short schedule.

I do not run email signups, comments, or accounts. I don’t sell or rent any data.

Cookies
#

This site sets cookies only after you make a choice in the cookie banner on your first visit. You can re-open the banner at any time from the “Manage cookies” link. Three categories:

  • Necessary — always on. Remembers your cookie choice itself.
  • Analytics — Google Analytics cookies. Used to count pageviews.
  • Advertising — Google AdSense cookies. Used to personalise ads and measure ad performance.

Rejecting analytics and advertising cookies is fine — the site still works normally.

Third parties
#

These companies receive data when you load a page with their content on it:

  • Google (Analytics, AdSense, YouTube embeds) — their privacy policy
  • Amazon Associates — when you click an Amazon affiliate link, Amazon may track the referral
  • AliExpress affiliate program — same, for AliExpress links
  • jsDelivr — was previously used for hosting the cookie banner; now self-hosted, so nothing is loaded from jsDelivr

All of these operate their own privacy policies.

Data transfers
#

Google and Amazon are US-based. Data they collect may be processed in the United States or elsewhere. Their contracts include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (or equivalent) for international transfers.

Your rights
#

If you’re in the EU, UK, or California, you have the right to:

  • Ask what data is held about you
  • Ask for it to be corrected or deleted
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your data protection authority

Because I don’t hold identifying data myself, most of these requests should go to Google or Amazon directly. Email me at info@lazyproductreviews.com if you need help or want to raise a concern.

Australian visitors: this site is covered by the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988.

Retention
#

Google Analytics data is retained for 2 months (the minimum GA4 allows). Server logs are rotated within 30 days. I keep no identifying personal data myself.

Changes
#

If I update this policy, the “Last updated” date at the top will change. Material changes will be noted for a reasonable period.
