Hello everyone. Today we’re taking a look at my rice cooker — a Panasonic SR-DF101 with a fuzzy microcomputer. I love this thing. I’ve had it for several years and it replaced one of those Kmart $15 rice cookers I had before. I went through about three of those and kept returning them — they had a two-year warranty and I just kept returning them near the end because they’d just fail. This one won’t fail.

We’re going to start with a cup of white rice. Pour that in, now I’ve got to go wash it, I’ll be right back. Okay, I’ve washed the rice, just got to fill it up. I don’t know if you can see it, but there’s a little fill line — I’ve got to make sure it’s all the way up to where it says one, because I put one cup of rice in. That’s it. Close the lid, click white rice, and there you have it. It just does its thing and goes to keep warm when it’s done, so you let it sit and the rice cooker does the rest.

It’s taken just over 30 minutes but it’s done — it’s made our cup of rice. You can see the keep-warm light is on. We’ll open it up: there’s our rice inside. Give it a little fluff and it’s ready to eat. Ready to serve, just like that.

Now we’ll show the steaming feature. Open it up, pour in your water — that should be enough. I’ll go get the dumplings and we’ll steam them. Got the dumplings, hit steam, close it, and we wait. I usually let them steam for about 10 minutes from the point where steam is rising, so we’ll let this sit for a while.

The rice cooker is now steaming — it took about 10 minutes to get to this point, and it’ll take about 10 minutes more before the dumplings are done. Okay, it’s been 10 minutes and the dumplings are done. We’ll turn it off and open it up — keep your hands away, because the steam is hot. And there you have it: some nice steamed dumplings. I’m going to go eat and enjoy these.

That wraps up our video of this Panasonic rice cooker. If you liked the video, give it a like and subscribe, and I’ll see you in the next one. Take care. Bye.
