Well, well, well, it’s time for another low-effort review. We have the ThermoPro dual digital kitchen timer. I like to cook a lot, and all my timers from Daiso broke over the years — even after battery replacements they all got a little wonky — so hopefully this one does the job.
Inside we get the manual, the timer, and the batteries. I really appreciate this — including batteries isn’t something you always get, and I appreciate it very much, even if they’re super heavy duty and not the greatest; they’ll do the job. It’s a very nice finish on there. Let’s give it a little bit of a peel — everyone loves the peel. There we go, very satisfying, always satisfying. Just pop the batteries in. What am I doing? This is hard with one hand.
Apparently it has a timer mode, a clock mode, and a clock set. I read a review that says you can’t go from timer to clock without flipping it over, and to be honest, I don’t need the clock on here, so I’m going to leave it on timer and I’m not going to review the clock because I don’t care. I also read that the volume can be quite loud. I think it’s on medium volume. Ooh, it lights up. Let’s just do one minute and start. We’ll see how loud medium is. Let’s compare the beep sounds: mute, quietest, medium, and loudest. There you go, easy.
I’ve been playing with it and trying to figure out how to clear it. If you do this, it pauses. If you do this… I think it’ll clear it? No. How do I clear it? Let me try again. I think while it’s counting down, if you press all three — I literally just cleared it. Pause then… okay, so that’s how you clear it: start, pause, clear. Complicated, but sure. Apparently it can count up as well. The controls are quite limited, so let’s try that. I think we just press timer one, hit start, and it’ll count up instead of counting down. Very nice. And now it’s right on my fridge. Overall I’m pretty happy with this thing — it’s a nice addition to my refrigerator.
