Welcome to a low-effort review of this Devanti ice maker. It’s pretty straightforward: water goes in here, and the ice comes out. The first round of ice is quite small — it takes a while to get up to size, and for the water to cool down. The first batch has just come out.

If we look inside, taking a little turn into the ice maker, you can see the ice is made on those prongs and then falls down, and that little scoop dumps it in there. I’ll show you that in action when it’s ready. All right, there we go — it’s making some ice. We got some more ice. That’s just going to keep going, and eventually this basket will fill up and it will stop. We’ll cut to that in a bit.

Well, the basket’s not quite full yet and it’s been well over an hour, but it just does its thing, I don’t mind. I’m going to empty this out, put these in the freezer, and just let it keep going.

Yeah, I really like this little ice maker. I bought it a few years ago — it was a one-off, kind of like “I could use an ice maker, I don’t have one.” It’s very handy, particularly on hot summer days like today. Bonus: here’s the ice — full. Ice is full. It stops because that little infrared beam is broken by the ice.
