Welcome back — it’s been a while, I’ve been very busy. I’ve actually been putting off opening and reviewing this for a few weeks because I wanted to make a video for you before I open it. How sweet am I? I’m not using my new scale because I want to make a video for you first. So, let’s open it up.

A little flip — trickier than I thought. Look at how well packed this is, so nice. This is the AccuWeight scale. A little cardboard protecting the scale, a manual, and the scale itself nicely tucked inside. There we have it. Perfect.

It did say it came with batteries — and there they are, two AAAs. Look how lucky we are. So you pop the batteries in — it’s electronic — give it a little twist to get the cover off. Got them in. Super long life. We pop it back together and now we should have a scale. Very good. You just tap it to power it on and it should read zero. You can’t really see it from this camera angle, but if we hover over the display, you can certainly see it. The viewing angle isn’t great.

I’ll be right back — we’ll get something to weigh. Stay tuned.

And we’re back. I’ve got some gummy bears to weigh — we’re going to weigh out one serving, 25 grams. Oh, we need to zero it first. Zero it. Cool. Now we weigh out our gummy bears. Oh, it’s in ounces. Switch to grams. There we go — 17 grams, 25, 26… that’s enough. You can’t see it on this angle, but there you go: 26 grams of delicious Haribo Gold Bears.

This is replacing my old gross scale — I think it was from Kmart Australia. It took nasty old CR2032 batteries and had capacitive buttons which were annoying to use. I just wanted something new, so I got this on Amazon.

I’m pretty happy with the AccuWeight. It’s actually a little smaller than my old scale. Let’s see if the weights read the same — zero it… yeah, same reading. They’re both good. Cool. That’s the video. This is my new scale, that’s the old one. Bye.
