Hey all, this isn’t something you see very often these days โ€” a component video switcher I got from AliExpress. I’ve been getting more and more into my retro games, and I picked up some component cables for my Wii and PlayStation 2, so we’ll take a quick look at this. It’s a three-port component video switcher, ordered from AliExpress. It’s made of metal and quite heavy.

There are three inputs and one output, and you can use the green jack for RCA too. I’m probably going to use inputs one and two for the PS2 and Wii, and three for composite video via an RCA cable where the yellow goes into the green โ€” that should work fine with my RetroScaler. So that’s one, two, three, and we’ll give it a plug-in.

I also got some component cables โ€” these PlayStation ones and these Wii ones โ€” which we’ll take a closer look at in separate videos. Let’s plug it all up and take a look.

We have the switcher hooked up to the TV. One is the Wii โ€” there we go. Press two and it goes to the PlayStation. Press three and it goes to our composite input, but it’s black and white because we’re using the RetroScaler. You have to change the RetroScaler input back to composite, but it’s using the green port on the RetroScaler, so it still works.

We’ll take one quick close look at it. That pretty much wraps up the video. It’s quite a nice box โ€” made of metal. If you’re interested in one, there’s a link to where you can find it on AliExpress. Check out some of my other videos around here, like, subscribe, blah blah blah, and I’ll see you in the next one. Bye.
