Hey everyone! 🍹 Today, we’re taking a break from our usual content to taste test two different cans of Boss Coffee: the Iced Vanilla Latte from Australia and the Café au Lait from Japan.
In this video, we’ll compare the taste, price, and even the design differences of these two coffees. Did you know that the Australian Boss Coffee cans lost the iconic pipe in 2020, likely due to anti-smoking laws? It’s a fun little quirk I noticed!
We’ll start with a price comparison – the Japanese can, though smaller, is almost half the price of the Australian one. Then, we’ll do a taste test to see how they stack up against each other. Spoiler alert: both are delicious, but I have a personal favorite.
This is just a fun little snack break video. If you enjoy these kinds of breaks from tech content, let me know in the comments! And stay tuned, because I might dive into some interesting snacks like sardines next time.
Enjoy the video and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more content! ☕✨

Hey everyone, today I thought we’d take a snack break and look at two cans of Boss Coffee — this Iced Vanilla Latte from Australia and this Café au Lait from Japan. One thing I always found funny is that the Australian Boss Coffees that came out around 2020 took away his pipe — probably because of Australian anti-smoking laws. But I always thought it was funny that here he is with his little pipe, and here he’s just staring off into the distance.
In terms of price, the imported Japanese can, although a bit smaller, is almost half the price — at least from the grocery store where I got these. This one was $2.50 Australian, and this one was $4. Let’s get started. Start with the Aussie, and the Japanese — nice hiss. We’ll pour them out and do a little taste test. The colour is very similar, although the vanilla is a bit lighter it seems. Bringing them close, honestly, they’re almost indistinguishable. I think that’s just the lighting.
Let’s give them a taste. Starting with the Aussie can — very nice, very light taste, very milky, taste of vanilla. The Café au Lait is a bit richer, I’d have to say. Both are very nice, although these days I’ve been going towards the Japanese ones because I prefer the smaller can, and they’re cheaper and give me exactly what I want.
Anyway, this was just a fun little video where I look at a snack. I might do more snack breaks — tell me if you like these. If not, I’ll never do them again. Or I probably will. I have some sardines I need to look at that were inspired by another channel. Anyway, I’ll see you later. I’m going to go drink this coffee and go do a tech video. Bye.
